Experience: 6+ years agency experience

Position Summary: The primary objective of this position is to provide comprehensive management of agency accounts with high-level client service, reflected through client satisfaction, loyalty, and positive account growth. Provide leadership to coordinator and associate level client service professionals.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Development of annual strategic marketing or communications plans
  • Development and retention of strong client relationships
  • Revenue generation through organic growth of assigned client accounts
  • Project management and client consulting on key accounts

Major Responsibilities:

Development of annual strategic marketing or communications plans (30%, 12 hours/week)

  • Complete, participate in, or lead the Willow “Partnered Planning Process,” (P3) for assigned accounts
  • Plan, analyze, and present market research to support proposal development and presentation documents for strategic engagements
  • Aid in the development of specific industry knowledge and strategy best/next practices
  • Write and present marketing and communications plans for assigned clients
  • Perform competitive analysis, monitor industry activities for clients and determine how to effectively use that information to position clients

Development and retention of strong client relationships (25%, 10 hours/week)

  • Deliver consistent excellent customer service and forge new relationships within the philosophy of the Willow Way
  • Effectively lead internal and external meetings, ensuring proper preparation and follow-up occurs
  • Strong appreciation and understanding of client’s overall business and industry (understanding of clients challenges and objectives outside of just marketing initiatives)
  • Educate clients on client/agency partnerships and expectations of both parties
  • Responsible for organic growth of key accounts and high-level intimate conversations with clients
  • Responsible for providing ongoing strategic counsel at business and team level

Revenue generation of assigned client accounts (25%, 10 hours/week)

  • Fiscal responsibility of budgets and projections
  • Monitor client budgets and ensure projects are being worked efficiently and effectively to maintain profitability while exceeding client expectations
  • Development of annual client budgets
  • Active involvement in monthly billing for accounts, review all estimates and invoices before sending to client
  • Growing accounts and proactively seeking new work within identified accounts

Project management and client consulting on key accounts (20%, 8 hours/week)

  • Effectively lead the direction on key projects and initiatives, following established workflow processes and working across departments
  • Establish expectations with client on timelines and deliverables
  • Attend regular meetings, facilitating workflow and presenting/executing deliverables on behalf of the client
  • Effectively present, sell, and defend agency work to clients
  • Strong appreciation and understanding of client’s overall business and industry (understanding clients challenges and objectives outside of just marketing initiatives)
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing landscape, tools, and strategies
