Communication is the foundation of what I do here at Willow. Every day, I’m tasked with relating to our clients and engaging with them to be sure we’re doing our best to be open, humble and helpful partners. But since communication styles are as unique and individual as our DNA, it can be hard to know how to interact with different people in a variety of situations.

That’s why, at Willow, our employees participate in the DiSC behavioral analysis. DiSC is an analysis of HOW each person behaves. The letters stand for Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Compliance. It’s sort of the Rosetta Stone of communication. Knowing your own DiSC profile, and those of the team surrounding you, helps you to be a better communicator.

The individual DiSC reports provide valuable information including:

  • Natural and Adapted behavior styles
  • Ways to Communicate and Ways Not to Communicate with the individual
  • Perceptions
  • Time Wasters
  • Areas for Improvement

Here’s a sample if you want to see more.

This type of information is invaluable when it comes to ensuring our team is working together at its best.
