Willow would be nothing without the rockstar team of marketing professionals who help make the magic happen for our clients each and every day. This year, we’re spotlighting one member of our team every month – and it seemed only fitting to start with Maggie Hendrickson!
As director of client services, Maggie is responsible for managing the big picture for our clients – as well as the day-to-day work and professional growth of Willow’s client service team. She’s a strategist, an event marketing pro and a master problem solver – and she manages to do it all with a smile!
To help you get to know Maggie a little better, we asked her a few questions to get to the root of what makes her tick, what makes her happy, and what makes her such an integral part of the Willow team.
10 things you might not know about Maggie:
1) What’s your favorite way to start your day?
Slowly! I actually start my work day at 6 a.m. — there is something very peaceful about settling on the couch while it is still dark outside with my cup of coffee and preparing for the day!
2) What’s your favorite blog or podcast?
Right now, I’m loving the Morbid (true crime) podcast.
3) What’s the best book you’ve read in the past year?
I really enjoyed Zcomony: How Gen Z Will Change the Future of Business – and What To Do About It by Denise Villa and Jason Dorsey, and Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir.
4) Is there a specific type of project or client work that really gets you excited?
Events (conferences, trade shows) will always hold a special place in my heart.
5) What has been your biggest challenge over the past 12 months?
Well, I took on a new role at Willow in the last 12 months. So, I’d say settling into my new responsibilities.
6) How do you decompress after a stressful day?
The right answer is to tell you that I workout … the truth is, with a glass of wine! I live in a tight-knit neighborhood. It is very common to get a text message from a neighbor that says “cocktails?” and that is the perfect way to decompress — walking next door to have a post-work cocktail with friends.
7) What’s something you’re looking forward to in 2022?
2022 is going to be such an exciting year at Willow — we have such an amazing team and really great projects in the works.
8) What’s been your biggest win in the past year?
I’m super excited for my new role. It is a win to be recognized for the work I’ve done and to know I have the support of Kim and Brad to help lead the team in 2022.
9) What’s your favorite way to have fun with your Willow teammates?
Many might not consider working fun, but working together on a Friday afternoon, maybe with an adult beverage. Everyone is in good spirits and we are all just working to wrap up projects for the week.
10) If you had to describe yourself in one word, what would it be?
Enthusiastic.
